Window safety restrictor

Titon’s Key Releasable Restrictor is a safety device engineered to limit the opening of window sashes to approximately 100mm.

It is specifically designed for use in situations where window openings at height pose a safety risk, particularly in environments where children or vulnerable individuals are present.

This restrictor can be temporarily released (de-restricted) to allow full window access for cleaning or maintenance purposes.

Part K of the Building Regulations states that window restrictors are legally required in buildings where individuals who are at risk – such as children or those requiring care – have access to windows situated at a height that could lead to injury. Restrictors must ensure that window openings in these settings do not exceed 100mm.
